Still waiting for a movie filter? Start with the language.

We Don't Say That takes a different approach. On supported YouTube and Prime Video pages, it can use available timed captions to prepare language muting as playback begins—so tonight's movie does not always have to wait on a prebuilt language track.

WHY I BUILT IT

I'm a ClearPlay user too. In my own case, I requested a filter and months later the movie my family wanted still wasn't ready. Often, our biggest concern is simply the language in an otherwise good movie. WDST was built to solve that problem at playback time.

A personal experience—not a claim that every ClearPlay request has the same result.

WHEN THE FILTER ISN'T THERE

Your movie night should not have to wait for the request queue.

ClearPlay's own request guide says it considers whether a title is new, well known, requested by several people, and suitable for filtering. That makes sense for handcrafted scene filters—but it also means a request is not a promised delivery date.

01

Your family picks the movie

You already own, rent, or subscribe to it on a supported YouTube or Prime Video page.

02

WDST checks the captions

When supported timed captions are available, the extension identifies the language categories you selected.

03

Playback filters automatically

Audio mutes around matched words, then restores. Shared timings can help the next family too.

AN HONEST COMPARISON

Different tools for different family needs

ClearPlay has real strengths. WDST is not trying to pretend otherwise. It is built around a faster answer to one especially common need: language.

ClearPlay may fit better when…

  • ✓You need broader scene categories such as violence or sexual content.
  • ✓You watch mainly on its wider list of supported streaming services.
  • ✓The title already has the prepared filter you want.

WDST may fit better when…

  • ✓Your first priority is muting profanity or selected language.
  • ✓You watch on YouTube or Amazon Prime Video in Chrome.
  • ✓You want the extension to try the title when you press play.

You do not have to choose sides. WDST can be a practical language-filtering backup for titles that are not ready elsewhere. If both extensions are installed, enable only one on a playback page at a time to avoid competing controls.

BUILT FOR REAL FAMILY MOVIE NIGHTS

Keep the story. Quiet the language.

Many Christian parents—and many families with different convictions—are not asking for a completely rewritten movie. They want to enjoy a good story with their children without a handful of words changing the whole evening.

  • ✓Choose strong, severe, mild, sacred-name, or family-strict categories.
  • ✓Use the free Basic plan without entering payment information.
  • ✓Contribute timing data so another family benefits later.
  • ✓Keep honest expectations: no automated filter catches everything.

THE HONEST FINE PRINT

Fast does not mean guaranteed.

Captions matter. Language filtering depends on supported, accurately timed captions or matching community timing data.

Editions matter. Prime Video titles can have multiple versions, so filters must match the edition being played.

Review still matters. Automated language detection and community scene timings can miss content or mark too much.

QUESTIONS CLEARPLAY USERS ASK

Before you try We Don't Say That

Seeing “No Filtering Options Yet” on ClearPlay?+

ClearPlay explains that Amazon can use a different ASIN for each rental, purchase, Prime, or Channel edition, and that a filter must match the edition being played. It also says requests are prioritized by demand and feasibility rather than fulfilled on demand. WDST similarly matches Prime editions, but can build language timings from supported timed captions during playback.

Is We Don’t Say That a complete replacement for ClearPlay?+

No. ClearPlay offers broader prepared scene-filtering categories across more streaming services. We Don’t Say That is especially useful when your immediate goal is to mute selected language on YouTube or Prime Video. You can use whichever service fits each title—or keep both available.

Can it filter a Prime Video movie right away?+

Often, yes, when the exact Prime Video edition provides supported English timed captions. The extension can inspect those captions as playback begins and prepare language mute timings. Caption availability, title edition, and player changes can affect results.

Does it remove nudity, violence, or other visual content?+

Not automatically on every title. For matching Prime Video editions, WDST can skip or hide verified modesty scenes while keeping dialogue audible. That community-reviewed archive is new and growing; language filtering is the more mature feature.

What does the free plan include?+

Basic use includes 20 distinct YouTube videos and 1 distinct Prime title or episode per UTC day. Replaying or reloading the same title does not use another spot. Unlimited Pro is $3.99 per month.

Do I still need access to the movie?+

Yes. We Don’t Say That does not provide movies or streaming subscriptions. You must separately rent, buy, or subscribe to the video through YouTube or Amazon Prime Video.
